About the Artist

Sabrina Thayer is a vibrant Austin-based creative with a love for digital artistry. She exercises her passion for storytelling as a Freelance Copywriter and has been known to wield a makeup or paint brush on the side.

In her free time, you'll find Sabrina sipping a matcha latte and curled around her Ipad as she draws her Dungeons & Dragons characters. She loves to snuggle her black cat, Salem; learn about history and its fashions; cross-stitch cursed memes; and play TTRPGs with her friends. In short; she's a neurodivergent nerd who encompasses "Keep Austin Weird".

Sabrina is a recent graduate from Texas State University with a BA in English and a minor in French. In 2019, she graduated from ACC with an Associate of Arts degree and a Certificate in Film/Video Management Level 1. She hopes to return to ACC in the future to complete her Associate of Applied Science degree in Film.

She's worked on both student and non-student film sets in a variety of roles but found her place as a Makeup Artist (including SFX). Beyond an MUA, Sabrina has also worked as a Video Editor for YouTube and short films. She helped revive the cybr.grl YouTube channel in 2018 with her video edits and content filming. In 2020, she did social media marketing for Keller Williams Realty under The Jaymes Willoughby Team. She shot and edited long and short form content; designed, planned, and wrote marketing copy for social media/print; and updated Adobe Illustrator-based documents.

While at TXST, Sabrina was elected to Public Relations Officer for Le Cercle Français (2021-22). During her time as the PR Officer, she produced social media posts and promotional copy. She redesigned the club's logo as well as the TXST French Department's brochure. In partnership with the French Consulate in Houston, Le Cercle hosted the "French Outside of France" event as part of the French Cultures Festival. By the time her term ended, the club won the TXST Outstanding Multicultural Organization Award for 2022. Around the same time, Sabrina became a member of the National French Honor Society (Pi Delta Phi: Epsilon Tau). After graduating, Sabrina participated in the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF). For six months, she assisted in teaching elementary and middle school students English in the North of France.
